Barbara de Regil's daughter reports being scammed; she was charged more than a thousand for "a tip"

MEXICO CITY.— Mar de Regil is making headlines after reporting that she was the “victim” of a scam at a beauty salon.
Barbara's daughter also explained how a prestigious beauty salon charged her more than a thousand pesos for "a trim."
However, after some Internet users attacked her and even complained about the bad experience she had, her followers did not hesitate to come out to defend her.
Through a video shared on her TikTok account, the young influencer explained that in recent days she called a well-known beauty salon in Mexico City to ask for information about a women's haircut , and they told her they had two options.
The first option was to be attended by a person who was just starting out and who would charge 650 pesos ; while the second option was to go to a professional and you had to pay 750 pesos.
Mar de Regil pointed out that he chose the 650 pesos option, since it only required a trim.
However, when she arrived at the beauty salon, she was told that there was no one available to provide her with the service she had chosen; so she ended up being treated by a professional (which meant that the cost would be higher).
This person proceeded to trim her hair, just as she asked. And although the technique used for the trimming seemed strange to her, she did not imagine that when it came time to pay she would be scammed .
And Barbara's daughter mentioned that they charged her 1,500 pesos , which she had not contemplated since they had already told her that the haircut cost 750 pesos.
Faced with this increase in price, the young woman questioned whether they were charging her for drying her hair, but apparently they did not give her a very clear answer and simply limited themselves to charging her double what they had previously told her.
After sharing her anecdote, some Internet users criticized her, pointing out that by going to beauty salons like the one she went to, she is exposed to this type of scam .
However, her followers decided to "help" her after being scammed by asking Profeco to speak out against the excessive charges that the salon allegedly charges its clients without any reason.
It should be noted that although Mar de Regil 's statement called into question the reputation of Silvia Galvan 's beauty salon, so far neither she nor the beauty salon that Bárbara de Regil's daughter visited have made any statements, but Internet users hope that Profeco will act against this place, which apparently engages in bad practices.
